Dedicated to the progress and advancement of all paralegals.

A Word from Our President

Holly A. Sheriff, MSLS, President of NYCPA, Paralegal, and Owner, Best Virtual Paralegal LLC

It is my honor and privilege to serve as President of the New York City Paralegal Association (NYCPA). In the past few years, I have enjoyed observing NYCPA welcoming new members and say goodbye to a few exceptional members. And say thank you to extraordinary sponsors. All of whom help NYCPA grow into a remarkable organization with outstanding leadership focused on providing unparalleled resources and training to the paralegals’ communities while helping paralegals and attorneys throughout the United States.

All your hard work, commitment, and compassion is truly an inspiration. Thank you for all your efforts. Each of you should be proud of all your accomplishments in the past years. You have done some fantastic work. As we embark on a new year, I am confident we will continue to build upon the lessons in leadership of the past to help us courageously and confidently become a better version of ourselves.

In the coming year, we will forge towards a more diverse and all-inclusive member-focused association by focusing our efforts on purposefully cultivating relationships that extend beyond sponsors and members. We will establish connections with influential people and befriending prospective members, vendors, and other enthusiastic allies to form a win-win combo for our stewardship strategy.

We’ll kick off the new year with new approaches to our blog, social channels, virtual meetings, and events. As a team, we’ll strive to implement effective campaign strategies to show our members and sponsors:

  • Specific, measurable goals and results;
  • Well-define milestones to showcase accountability, victories, and new opportunities.

As a result, our mission will be heard, understood, and more importantly, our gratitude towards members, sponsors, and allies will be felt through everything we do as a team. You may think this is a tall order and the Association is a space for discounts and training. You’d be right. However, the NYCPA is more than “just a bargain space”; it’s your voice in the industry. It’s your chance to be seen, heard, and have more of an impact on the issues affecting paralegals in the legal community on and off line.

Join us and become a part of the voice responsible for shaping the paralegal industry’s future in New York City and beyond. Together, we can reach and exceed industry goals. I can’t wait to help you achieve your goals in the year to come.

With regards, I am,

Sincerely,

/S/: Holly A. Sheriff, MSLS
