MOIA: ActionNYC Clinic

The Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA) is looking for volunteers to assist with screening clients at our ActionNYC clinic in East Harlem, Manhattan on Saturday, June 18th.

 Requirements to serve as a screener: volunteer screeners must be an attorney, paralegal, BIA accredited representative, or law student with some immigration experience.

 

If you are available to help, please confirm your availability by emailing Phillip Menard (PMenard@cityhall.nyc.gov) and Gloria Medina (gmedina@moia.nyc.gov) with the subject “Volunteer for 6/18 ActionNYC Clinic”  and sending us your phone number by no later than 5PM on Thursday, June 2nd. 

 

Please note that you will have an hour-long break, and breakfast and hot lunch will be provided to all volunteers.

Shift: 8:30AM-4:00PM (last screening at 3:00pm)

You will be screening clients during their one-hour immigration consultation. Screeners will be supervised and supported by an experienced immigration attorney.
