Register Now!

Dear Volunteer,

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the upcoming CUNY/
Daily News Citizenship NOW! Call-In
. At our annual call-in we provide
information and referrals to callers to help them on their path to
citizenship. In 2014 we assisted 12,738
* individuals and we have
assisted a total of 135,922 callers since the call-in began.

This year's call-in will be held from April 27 to May 1, 2015, from 9
a.m. to 7 p.m. at Stella and Charles Guttman Community College.
It will be preceded by a training at The Graduate Center on April 14,
2015, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A reception will immediately follow the
training.

How to register:

To register to attend the call-in, the
training and/or the reception please fill out
the Training and Call-in Registration form.
We ask you to please only sign up only
for the time slots that you are confident
you will be able to attend. This will provide
us with a realistic idea of how much
additional volunteer outreach we will need
to do.
What will you learn at the call-in training?:
Immigration policy is rapidly changing and the training will provide
the most up-to-date information to our volunteers. Experienced
attorneys will cover various areas of immigration law that are
important to our callers. They will also go over call-in policies and
procedures.

To be able to accommodate more volunteers this year, and help
more callers, we will email out a link so that you may live-stream
the training or watch a recording later if you are unable to attend in
person.

Do you need to attend the training to volunteer at the call-in?
If you do not have work experience in immigration law, attending
this training (or watching it online) is a condition for participating in
the call-in.
What else will you receive?
Besides the satisfaction of helping immigrants with their questions
and concerns, CUNY and the Daily News will provide volunteers with
breakfast and lunch during the call-in. CUNY Citizenship Now! will also
publish a photo and bio of each volunteer who submits them by April
14, 2015.
You will receive a link to submit your bio after you have
registered using the Training and Call-in Registration form, so do not
delay and register now!
For more information about volunteering at the call-in please contact
our Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, Stina Rosenquist, at
stina.rosenquist@cuny.edu

See you at the training and call-in!

Sincerely,

Allan Wernick
Director, CUNY Citizenship Now!
