PERSONAL BIOGRAPHY OF NICOLETTE MERRIDY

Nicolette Merridy holds a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science from Mercy College. Prior to her graduation in February 2002, she had a fifteen year career as a Marketing Assistant in Sales & Marketing in Illinois.  In addition to her marketing experience, Nicolette has over five years of legal experience as Legal Assistant and Paralegal in Intellectual Property, specifically, trademark prosecution and two years in criminal prosecution with the DeKalb County Attorney's Office in Sycamore, Illinois.

Ms. Merridy has been a member of the NYCPA since 2009 and served as Membership Coordinator in 2011-2012. Currently, she is holding two positions, namely, Mentorship Coordinator and Event Coordinator. 

In addition to the above, Nicolette has volunteered as a teacher/advisor for HopeLine, a non-profit organization that provides Spanish adults the training to study for the U.S. Citizenship exam and pass it.  She is one of four volunteers.     

Ms. Merridy assists Stephanie Yuzzi, NYCPA Pro Bono Chair, in providing shipments to our dedicated soldiers as a part of the Military Program. With Nicolette’s assistance, NYCPA was able to acquire candy donations for our soldiers overseas from a Walgreens Company store in Queens, New York since 2011. 

Ms. Merridy will complete her Paralegal Certificate from the Paralegal Studies Program at CUNY-Queens College in 2013.

Nicole is married and resides in Queens.
