PERSONAL BIOGRAPHY OF NICOLE DEMENT

Nicole DeMent graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science from Arizona State University before moving to the New York area in 2005.  Prior to earning her paralegal certificate at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Nicole worked as a non-profit program manager for the National League for Nursing Foundation; she focused on securing financial support for nursing scholarships and research grants.  Nicole looks forward to utilizing her expertise in fundraising and scholarship administration to increase the funding and visibility of the NYCPA scholarship program.  Currently, Nicole works as a paralegal research assistant for a sole practitioner of administrative law, representing clients in environmental and natural resources permit proceedings. Since May 2010, Nicole holds the position of the Treasurer.
