Christy Burke
Christy Burke is the Founder and President of Burke & Company, a communications agency specializing in public relations, marketing and organizational management for legal technology companies.
The Company prides itself on finding creative solutions to help small to mid-size businesses build brand awareness and develop new business.
Burke began her career at Forbes, Inc. starting in new business development and advertising sales. Two years later she joined Lowe Lintas & Partners, one of the world’s largest advertising agencies in the Interpublic Group. There she served as New Business Manager and International Account Supervisor for the $120 million 3Com technology account. After leaving Lowe, Burke became Marketing Manager for Worldox/World Software Corporation where she called upon her technology expertise and media contacts in the technology and legal industries where she generated numerous articles and awards for the company.
Ms. Burke is a columnist for Legal IT Professionals. She also has been published in several journals such as Marketing the Law Firm, Law Practice Today, ILTA's Peer to Peer, eDiscovery Law & Strategy, Legal Management, Legal Tech, Intellectual Property Today and the New Jersey Law Journal.
Trustee of Connecticut College, Ms. Burke is involved in numerous community service organizations including Coalition for the Homeless, New York Cares, Habitat for Humanity, Plan International, Americans for the Arts and the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation. Burke funds arts programs at NYC Public Schools, including Ballet Hispanico and Hester Street Collaborative. She was the 2005 recipient of the John Crowe Memorial Award for Volunteerism for Rebuilding Together Jersey City.
In addition to serving clients in law and technology, Ms. Burke has in-depth knowledge of other fields. She is a classical musician who performed at Carnegie Hall, and is on the Board of Directors for Third Rail Projects, Inc., an artistic organization which produces dance, theater, film, music, and art installations both in the U.S. and abroad.
